Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste Reduction
This program and toolkit began in October of 2010. Changes to the CSRD Solid Waste Management Program provided options for the disposal of your construction and demolition material, such as recycling and/or reuse including the costs to do so. The C&D toolkit has been designed to help clarify the regulations set out in Bylaw No. 5542, explain fee structures, and serve as a reference to contractors to help maximize the salvage, reuse and recycling of construction and demolition waste, and to help minimize disposal fees.

Business Waste Audit Toolkit
The CSRD has developed a Business Waste Audit Toolkit to assist businesses in determining the effectiveness of current waste management practices and identifying opportunities for improvement of these practices. Waste audits are a great tool to figure out what is going on in your garbage and what materials you should focus on reducing or recycling. The CSRD has a toolkit available that comes with all the tools required to complete an audit. CSRD Staff are available to assist you in the process at your location if requested.
