Director Kevin Flynn remains Board Chair

Thursday, November 19, 2020

CSRD Director and City of Salmon Arm Councillor Kevin Flynn will spend a second year as Chair of the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) Board after his nomination was acclaimed at the November 19 Regular Board Meeting.

Flynn is a long-serving member of the CSRD Board and has expressed his passion for conducting the regional work of the CSRD, in addition to his role as a municipal councillor. He was selected for his first-term as Board Chair in November 2019.

"I'm very glad to have another chance to continue as Chair, and I appreciate the nomination and support of the Board. I look forward to what will certainly be another interesting and challenging year ahead," said Flynn.

Electoral Area E (Rural Sicamous and Malakwa) Director Rhona Martin agreed to continue in her role of Vice-Chair and was declared elected by acclamation.

The Board also voted to adopt the meeting schedule for 2021 with regular Board sessions set for the third Thursday of each month, with one exception. The Board meeting in December 2021 is moved to the second Thursday of that month, December 9, 2021.

The next CSRD Board meeting will be held Thursday, December 10, 2020.

Citizens continue to be welcome to attend, but there is only space to accommodate six members of the public in the Boardroom. The CSRD is offering live streaming of the meeting on Zoom. The Zoom recording of the meeting will also be made available for approximately 30-days following the meeting.

All meetings are posted on the CSRD website at www.csrd.bc.ca.
