Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) Regular Board Meetings are accessible to the public through the use of video conference technology, as well as in-person.
Citizens and members of the media who want to attend the meeting electronically will need to pre-register with the CSRD. Information on how to pre-register for the September 17, 2020 meeting will be available on the CSRD website approximately one week before the Board meeting, along with the publication of the Board meeting agenda.
Due to COVID-19, many CSRD Board Directors and staff are already participating in the meeting electronically to help ensure the appropriate physical distancing and reduce any potential spread of the virus.
Directors approved the use of the Zoom platform for live-streaming meetings on a six-month trial basis beginning August 20, 2020. It will be reviewed by the Board after that time.
Viewers will see and hear the meeting taking place in the Boardroom, but will not be able to speak or participate, unless permitted by the moderator.
Zoom video from members of the public will also be turned off, so people not participating directly in the meeting will not be viewed.
The public is still welcome to attend the Board meetings in person, however, visitors must adhere to the CSRD's COVID-19 protocols. In order to maintain physical distancing in the CSRD Boardroom, a maximum of six members of the public can attend.
