What is TUP750-02?

The subject property is located at 662 Capri Road in the Gardom Lake area of Electoral Area D and is more particularly shown on the location map shown below:

 

The owner of the subject property has applied for a Temporary Use Permit to locate a federally licensed micro-cannabis cultivation facility on the subject property, legally described as Lot 3, Section 16, Township 19, Range 9, West of the 6th Meridian, Kamloops Division, Yale District, Plan KAP75633, located at 662 Capri Road.

How can I find out more about this permit application? 

A copy of the proposed permit application and relevant background documents may be inspected at the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD), 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC, between the hours of 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, on Thursday, July 2, 2020 and Friday, July 3, 2020, and between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM starting Monday July 6 and ending Thursday, July 16, 2020.  (Please note that CSRD office hours open to the public are subject to change depending upon Provincial Health Orders and recommendations.) The documents will also be available to view on the CSRD website starting on July 8, 2020 at www.csrd.bc.ca/meeting-agendas-and-minutes under the applicable meeting date. 

How do I send a written submission about this permit application? 

Written submissions will be accepted at the CSRD until 4:00 PM on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. The Board of the CSRD considers the author's name and residential address relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should be included in your submission. The author's phone number and email address are not relevant to the Board’s consideration of this matter and should not be included in the written submission. Written submissions received by the CSRD are subject to public disclosure and a copy may be provided to the applicant. Please clearly write "TUP Submission – TUP750-02" on your submission.

Where and when will the permit be considered for issuance?

At the CSRD, 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC, during the Regular Board Meeting commencing at 9:30 AM on Thursday, July 16, 2020. 

Due to special provisions regarding COVID-19 granted by Provincial Ministerial Order M192, the July 16, 2020 CSRD Board meeting will be taking place through the use of remote communications technology and only a limited number of the public will be able to be present. There is no specific opportunity for the public to provide verbal or written submissions about this permit application at this meeting. The outcome of the permit application will be made available to any interested member of the public by emailing plan@csrd.bc.ca or by contacting the member of the planning staff listed below.
