The Sicamous Creek Falls Trails are now open to the public.
Safety enhancements to the trails started in 2019 and were completed in 2020. These safety enhancements include: improved warning signage regarding steep slopes, directional and boundary signage, a map kiosk, hand rails on stairs to the waterfall and safety barriers installed in areas around steep slopes.
Sicamous Creek Trails are developed and maintained by the CSRD in collaboration with the Shuswap Trail Alliance and under partnership with Recreation Sites and Trails BC. Safety improvements were funded by the Electoral Area E Parks budget with contributions from Recreation Sites and Trails BC.
Sicamous Creek Falls Trails has ample parking for 15-20 vehicles, a picnic table, a vault toilet and garbage receptacles for public convenience.
The CSRD always advises users of its trail systems to use caution and keep to marked routes when hiking.
The trail system is located at 800 2 Mile Rd, Sicamous, along the east side of Mara Lake.
