What is Development Variance Permit No. 701-97 (DVP701-97)?

The subject property is located at 4145 Eagle Bay Road in Eagle Bay of Electoral Area C and is more particularly shown on the location map in the attached notice. 

The property owners are proposing to replace the existing garage with an addition to the single family dwelling on the northern waterfront portion of the subject property. The applicants are proposing to vary the South Shuswap Zoning Bylaw No. 701 as follows:

  • Section 7.2.5 minimum setback from the front parcel line from 5m to 2.3 m only for the addition to the single family dwelling.

Due to emergency provisions now in place for the COVID-19 pandemic, copies of the proposed permit application and relevant background documents will only be available by email request to plan@csrd.bc.ca beginning Wednesday, June 4, 2020 and ending Thursday, June 18, 2020.

How do I send a written submission about this permit application?

Written submissions will be accepted at the CSRD office, 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC, until 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.  The Board of the CSRD considers the author's name and residential address relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should be included in your submission. The author's phone number and email address are not relevant to the Board’s consideration of this matter and should not be included in the written submission. Written submissions received by the CSRD are subject to public disclosure and a copy may be provided to the applicant. Please clearly write "DVP Submission – DVP701-97" on your submission. Written submissions may be submitted to: plan@csrd.bc.ca or to the address above.

Where and when will the permit be considered for issuance?

At the CSRD, 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC, during the Regular Board Meeting commencing at 9:30 AM on Thursday, June 18, 2020. 

Due to special provisions regarding COVID-19, the June 18, 2020 CSRD Board meeting will be taking place through the use of remote communications technology and the public will be able to be present with strict provisions. The outcome of the permit application will be made available to any interested member of the public by emailing plan@csrd.bc.ca or by contacting the member of the planning staff listed below.
