The Evacuation Alert issued by the Columbia Shuswap Regional District on August 1, 2018 has now been rescinded for the wildfire burning close to Camborne (southeast of Revelstoke and northeast of Beaton). The wildfire known as the Incomappleux River fire is no longer a threat to the area.

Due to the current low water level of Shuswap Lake, the Harbour Road Boat Launch, located at 1955 Eagle Bay Road in Blind Bay is being closed effective 7:00 AM on Thursday, August 23, 2018.
