What is Electoral Area B Zoning Amendment (Revelstoke Backcountry Guides) Bylaw No. 851-14?
BL851-14 proposes to amend the Electoral Area B Zoning Bylaw No. 851 by rezoning 0.07 hectares of Crown land from RSC - Rural Resource to RC2 – Resort Commercial 2; to permit a backcountry lodge. The Province of BC has approved the applicant’s 96 m2 lodge within an intensive use site and a 3,184 ha extensive use tenure for the applicant’s backcountry ski touring operation. The construction of the lodge within the intensive use site is conditional upon the adoption of this bylaw amendment. BL851-14 would apply to the unsurveyed Crown land in the vicinity of Twin Butte, east of Revelstoke, GPS Coordinates 50.988741 N, 117.98114 W, as shown on the following map:
