What is Development Variance Permit Number 701-113 (DVP701-113)?

The subject properties, is a 10 unit strata located at 2802 Henstridge Road in the Sorrento area of Electoral Area C and is more particularly shown on the location map below:

Kas LocaWhen the building was constructed in 2007 it did not comply with the height and setback requirements of the R2 - Medium Density Residential Zone. The owners have applied to vary these setbacks through a Development Variance Permit as follows:

  • Minimum setback from the front parcel line from 5 metre to 4.6 metre;
  • Maximum height for principal building and structure from 11.0 metre to 13.3 metre

How do I send a written submission?

Written submissions will be accepted at the CSRD office, 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC, until 4 pm on Monday, February 22, 2021. The Board of the CSRD considers the author's name and residential address relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should be included in your submission. The author's phone number and email address are not relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should not be included in the written submission.If your comments are regarding the proposed Development Variance Permit please clearly write "Development Variance Permit Submission - DVP701-113" on your submission.

Written submissions received by the CSRD are subject to public disclosure and a copy may be provided to the applicant.

Where and when will the applications be considered by the Board?

At the CSRD, 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC, during the Regular Board Meeting commencing at 9:30 am on Thursday, March 18, 2021.

Due to special provisions regarding COVID-19 granted by Provincial Ministerial Order M192, the March 18, 2021 CSRD Board meeting will be taking place through the use of remote communications technology and only a limited number of the public will be able to be present. There is no specific opportunity for the public to provide verbal or written submissions about these applications at this meeting.
