Repairs to Falkland Water System complete

a map of the Falkland Water main outage area

Update:

The water leak has now been fixed  and water service should be as normal for users of the Falkland Water System. We appreciate your patience during the repairs.

Original Post: July 25, 2022

A water leak in the 5800-block of Highway 97 in Falkland means some users will be unexpectedly without water this morning, Monday, July 25.

Currently the water system is shut down from the Falkland Stampede Grounds towards the west as indicated by the yellow circle on the map below.

This also means the Falkland Water System reservoir is not able to replenish and water supplies will dwindle as it is used.  This could potentially affect all users of the system.

Falkland residents on the water system are asked to conserve water at this time to help preserve reservoir stores in case of fire or other incident. Please try to avoid using major appliances like washing machines and dishwashers and do not use sprinklers at this time.

We will update if the water shutdown becomes more widespread or when there is more information available.
