[ARCHIVED] Notice of Permit: Temporary Use Permit Number 850-15

Tuesday, February 1, 2022

What is Temporary Use Permit Number 850-15 (TUP850-15)?

The subject property is located at 1850 Westerburg Road south of Revelstoke in Electoral Area B and is more particularly shown on the location map:

1850 Westergurg Road Map

The owners of 1850 Westerburg Road would like to build a new single family dwelling (a conventionally built house) to replace their existing double wide mobile home as shown on the site plan below. The owners have applied for a Temporary Use Permit (TUP) to temporarily have two single family dwellings on the property so that they can continue living in the existing double-wide mobile home while their new house is being constructed.

After the new house is constructed, the owners would then remove the double-wide mobile home and its attached decks.

Conditions of a TUP include:

That the double-wide mobile home be removed within 30 days of the issuance of an Occupancy Permit for the new house.
That the Temporary Use Permit be valid for 30 days after the issuance of an Occupancy Permit for the new house, or two years, whichever comes first.

To further compel the owners to adhere to the conditions of the permit, the owners would be required to submit a $10,000 financial security to the CSRD. The financial security would be returned after the double-wide mobile home is removed.
