The Board of Directors recently appointed Jennifer Sham as the Columbia Shuswap Regional District’s (CSRD) Corporate Officer and Manager, Corporate Services.
As required by the Local Government Act, the Corporate Officer is accountable for the direction of legislative and corporate administration functions for the Regional District.
Sham brings more than 13 years of experience at the CSRD to her new role. Sham’s background is in land-use planning as a Registered Professional Planner and member of the Planning Institute of British Columbia.
Starting as a Planner in the CSRD’s Development Services Department, Sham then moved into Corporate Administration in 2018. By 2020, Sham was promoted to Deputy Manager, Corporate Administration. In 2022, she was also appointed the Chief Election Officer for the Sorrento-Blind Bay Incorporation assent vote and the upcoming General Local Elections in October.
Sham volunteers as the Chapter Director for the Thompson Okanagan Local Government Management Association and sits on the Local Government Management Association Board of Directors.

Sham’s appointment as Corporate Officer took effect May 1, 2022.
