Crazy Creek Gorge FSR: 2,635 hectares in size with low fire behaviour was seen yesterday on the south end of the fire, with very minimal growth southward.
The Evacuation Order for the communities of Queest Village and Pete Martin Bay remain in place. Attention: BCWS has reported a drone in the area of this fire, this is a very dangerous activity.
Two Mile Road: 1,349 ha in size with no growth and decreased fire behaviour was seen yesterday with cooler temperatures and limited precipitation. Evacuation Alerts remain in place.
Attention: If you see helicopters or other aircraft Mara Lake, immediately leave the area. Please respect the firefighting efforts and stay clear.
White Rock Lake: 55,000 ha in size. Predominant fire growth over the past 48-hours was along the eastern flank, west of Westside Road. Low fire behaviour due to the cooler temperatures.
Today, winds on-site will be similar to yesterday and isolated showers in the vicinity will provide a slight reprieve through the weekend. However, active fire behaviour is still expected. Temperatures today will dip into the mid-teens with light northwest winds. Into next week, a flat upper ridge will begin to build on Monday bringing warm and dry conditions back to the region. Evacuation Alerts and Orders and road closures remain in place.
