What is Development Variance Permit Number 650-43 (DVP650-43)?

The subject properties are located at 7644 Granite Place in Anglemont of Electoral Area F and is legally described as Parcel B (Being a Consolidation of Lots 2 and 3, see LB388716) and Lot 11 Section 15 Township 23 Range 9 West of the 6th Meridian Kamloops Division Yale District Plan 18288 more particularly shown on the location map below:

Development Variance Permit 650-43 Location

The owners are proposing an addition to the single family dwelling on Property 1 (Parcel B) and constructing an accessory building on Property 2 (Lot 11). The owners have requested two variances for the proposed addition to the single family dwelling:

Reduce the minimum setback from the front parcel boundary from 5 metres to 0.79 metres; and

Reduce the minimum setback for eaves and gutters from 1.0 metres to 0.40 metres.

The owners have also requested the following variances for the proposed accessory building:

Reduce the minimum front parcel boundary from 5 metres to 1.2 metres;

Reduce the minimum setback for eaves and gutters from 1.0 metres to 0.70 metres

Increase the maximum permitted floor area from 55 m2 to 84.84 m2; and

Increase the maximum permitted height from 6 metres to 7.36 metres;

A copy of the proposed permit application and relevant background documents may be inspected at the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD), 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm, beginning Thursday, May 6 2021 and ending Thursday, May 20, 2021. (Please note that CSRD office hours open to the public are subject to change depending upon Provincial Health Orders and recommendations.) The documents will also be available to view on the CSRD website starting on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Agendas and Minutes page under the applicable meeting date

How do I send a written submission about this permit application?

Written submissions will be accepted at the CSRD until 4 pm on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. The Board of the CSRD considers the author's name and residential address relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should be included in your submission. The author's phone number and email address are not relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should not be included in the written submission. Written submissions received by the CSRD are subject to public disclosure and a copy may be provided to the applicant. Please clearly write "DVP Submission -"DVP650-43" on your submission. Written submissions may be emailed to the Planning Department or to the address above.

Where and when will the permit be considered for issuance?

At the CSRD, 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC, during the Regular Board Meeting commencing at 9:30 am on Thursday, May 20, 2021.

Due to special provisions regarding COVID-19 granted by Provincial Ministerial Order M192, the May 20, 2021 CSRD Board meeting will be taking place through the use of remote communications technology only. No public attendance is permitted at the meeting. There is no specific opportunity for the public to provide verbal or written submissions about this application at this meeting.
