[ARCHIVED] Notice of Permit: Development Variance Permit Number 701-118

Thursday, May 6, 2021

What is Development Variance Permit Number 701-118 (DVP701-118)?

The subject property is located in Eagle Bay of Electoral Area C and is legally described as Lot 2 Section 6 Township 23 Range 9 West of the 6th Meridian Kamloops Division Yale District Plan 5310. This property is more particularly shown on the location map below:

The owners are proposing an addition to the single-family dwelling on the northern waterfront portion of the subject property. Development Variance Permit Number 701-97 was issued June 18, 2020 for the addition to the single-family dwelling to be located 2.3 m from the front parcel line setback. The eaves were to be located no closer than 1.0 m from the front property line. The building permit was issued and prior to construction the surveyor noticed a discrepancy in the previous survey that had been completed for the subject property and the proposed addition could not comply with the setbacks in Development Permit Number 701-97. The applicant has applied for a new Development Variance Permit and is requesting a 1.1 m setback for the addition and 0.5 m for the eaves.

See the site plans below for the locations of the proposed variances.
