August 7, 18:30 Hours

The opportunity to get a Temporary Access Permit to go into the Evacuation ORDER area in Falkland has now passed as of 18:30 Hours (6:30 pm).

All those in the evacuation order area are required to be out of the area by 19 Hours (7 pm).

Please respect the order provisions and leave the area.

No one will be allowed past the road blocks after 7 pm today, August 7, until BC Wildfire says it is safe to do so. Please monitor our website for any additional information.

BC Wildfire is giving Falkland residents with essential reasons for going back quickly to feed livestock, maintain critical infrastructure or pick up pets, a brief window of time to do that between 16 (4 pm) and 19 (7 pm) Hours on August 7.

If you have a CRITICAL reason to return to the area, you will need a Temporary Access Permit.

You can obtain that by clicking this link and filling out the form.

Now Closed

Returning to retrieve possessions is not a critical reason for temporary access and you will be denied.

You will receive an email back that you can show at the checkpoint to be allowed in. You will NOT be allowed in without this email.

Everyone must be back out of the evacuation order area by 19 hours (7 pm).

This is a day-by-day situation. Temporary Access passes issued today will only be valid until 19 hours on August 7. The permit process will be closed as of 18:30 Hours.
