[ARCHIVED] Highway 97 Closure Including Falkland Area

Highway 97 Closure Including Falkland Area MapThursday, August 5, 2021

Due to the risk to public safety from aggressive fire activity, Highway 97 has been CLOSED between the Chase Falkland Road at Monte Creek and the Salmon River Road.

ALL traffic, with the exception of emergency vehicles, is being diverted using Highway 97A, Highway 97B and the Trans-Canada Highway. This closure will be in place until at least noon, Friday, August 6. Follow DriveBC for the most up-to-date information.

Please watch for crews and flaggers and follow their directions.

AIM Roads is reporting congested highway traffic on the Trans-Canada Highway between Sorrento and Canoe Beach Drive. Please drive with care and courtesy.
