The priority today has been dealing with the Falkland Evacuation Alert and small area of Evacuation Order near Pinaus Lake due to the White Rock Lake Fire. That fire is encroaching on the border of the CSRD's Electoral Area D, TNRD and RDNO areas. The fire is mapped at 17,900 hectares.
We have had limited updates from BC Wildfire on the other three fires in the area: Hunakwa Lake/Seymour Arm, Two Mile Fire/Sicamous and Three Valley Gap.
All current alerts and orders for these three fires remain status quo, as previously issued.
Crews continue to work on all three fires, building guards, and using air support where possible.
