What is Temporary Use Permit Number 830-09 (TUP830-09)?

The applicants are proposing to have outdoor storage of boats, trailers, and RVs. If approved, the Temporary Use Permit will permit the outdoor storage use for 3 years.

A copy of the proposed permit application and relevant background documents may be inspected at the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD), 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm, beginning Tuesday, September 7, 2021, and ending Thursday, September 23, 2021. (Please note that CSRD office hours open to the public are subject to change depending upon Provincial Health Orders and recommendations.) The documents will also be available to view on the CSRD website starting on Friday, September 17, 2021 under the applicable meeting date

How do I send a written submission about this permit application?

Written submissions will be accepted at the CSRD until 4 pm on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. The Board of the CSRD considers the author's name and residential address relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should be included in your submission. The author's phone number and email address are not relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should not be included in the written submission. Written submissions received by the CSRD are subject to public disclosure and a copy may be provided to the applicant. Please clearly write "TUP Submission - TUP830-09 on your submission. Written submissions may be submitted via email or to the address above.

Where and when will the permit be considered for issuance?

At the CSRD, 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC, during the Regular Board Meeting commencing at 9:30 am on Thursday, September 23, 2021.

Due to special provisions regarding COVID-19 granted by Provincial Ministerial Orders, the September 23, 2021, CSRD Board meeting will be taking place through the use of remote communications technology only. The public is welcome to join the meeting virtually via Zoom. There is no specific opportunity for the public to provide verbal or written submissions about this application at this meeting.
