As part of the CSRD's FireSmart program, consultants will be in Electoral Area A (Rural Golden) from Tuesday, October 5 to Thursday, October 7 between 8 am and 6 pm conducting wildfire threat assessments on Crown land.
Two workers from B.A. Blackwell and Associates will be in the area, along with Len Youden, the CSRD's FireSmart Coordinator, as part of developing a 2021 Community Wildfire Resilience Plan. All will be wearing high-visibility gear.
The team will not be working on private land. Should access to Crown land be needed through private property, all landowners will be contacted for permission to pass through.
