[ARCHIVED] Fishing Dock Added to Joyce Lake Recreation Site

A new fishing dock has been installed at the Joyce Lake Recreation Site thanks to a partnership with the CSRD, the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC (FFSBC) and Recreation Sites and Trails BC (RSTBC).

FFSBC provided funding for the dock, RSTBC obtained the permits for construction in the riparian area and CSRD staff coordinated the development of a pathway leading up to the dock.

Next year, a ramp will be installed to make the dock accessible for wheelchairs. These ramps are currently back-ordered, but will be installed as soon as possible.

The CSRD wishes to thank FFSBC and RSTBC for the generous contributions of time and money towards making this new fishing dock a reality.

The dock is located at 1450 Chase-Falkland Road, in Electoral Area D.
