[ARCHIVED] Power Outage Closes Skimikin Transfer Station

Skimikin Resource Recovery

Saturday, March 20, 2021Skimikin Resource Recovery

A power outage and an associated road closure in the area of the Skimikin Transfer Station, located at 2281 Skimikin Road, has forced closure of the site for the day on Saturday, March 20, 2021.

BC Hydro is estimating the power will be restored at approximately 6 pm, which is after the daily operating hours of the site.

The transfer station is scheduled to be open on Sunday, March 21 from 10 am to 4 pm.

The CSRD will update this website and post on its social media platforms if the closure is extended beyond Saturday, March 20.

We appreciate your patience with the unexpected circumstance.
