A theme of 2022 at the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) was transition.
With the Local Government Elections in October, there were changes to the Board of Directors. Electoral Area G was created after voters did not support the incorporation of Sorrento and Blind Bay into a new municipality. There was a shift in staff leadership with the retirement of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and subsequent recruitment and hiring of John MacLean as the new CAO.
These are some of the topics covered in the CSRD’s Annual Report 2022, which was received by Directors at the April 20 Regular Board Meeting.
The report is a type of yearbook, outlining the work accomplished through the vast region of the CSRD, which includes stretches from the Alberta boundary in the east, through Golden, Revelstoke, Sicamous and Salmon Arm, including Falkland, Salmon Valley and the North and South Shuswap.
The Annual Report provides a comprehensive overview of the CSRD's services, financial data, programs and projects for our constituents, Board Directors, staff, volunteers and community stakeholders throughout the region. The report provides a detailed look at how the CSRD continued to use the direction of its Strategic Plan (2019-2022) to focus its efforts.
It is the CSRD’s chance to better inform our residents of the types of programs and services delivered to its citizens. The report also enhances transparency by accounting for how tax dollars are being spent and what progress has been made on various priority projects.
The report is now available to the public online and is featured on the home page of our website under the Spotlights category.
