The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) is launching two surveys looking for input on the parks planning and development for Rose Clifford Community Park in Scotch Creek and the undeveloped community park at Lynes Road in Falkland.
Both online surveys can be found on the CSRD Connect page of the CSRD's website.
The survey for Rose Clifford Community Park focuses on how it can be improved for residents and visitors, and how to make best use of the current space. Survey participants will be able to rank their preferences for potential new amenities and help select their desired locations on a digital map.
Lynes Road Community Park is a new, undeveloped area in Falkland near the Falkland Fire Hall and Falkland Elementary School. This survey will focus on creating a vibrant and well-used recreational space on the property. It also asks the community to make suggestions for the park name.
The CSRD encourages anyone with an interest in either park to complete the survey. The closing date is December 3, 2021.
Following the survey, a conceptual design plan for each park will be developed and presented to the public for further comment.
