[ARCHIVED] Electoral Area E - Development Variance Permit No. 641-52 & 680-03

What is Development Variance Permit No. 641-52 and Development Variance Permit No. 680-03 (DVP641-52E & DVP680-03E)?

The subject property is located at 4702 Cunningham Frontage Road of Electoral Area E and is more particularly shown on the location map below. The owners 4702 Cunningham Frontage Road are applying for a three lot subdivision. Part 8 of Subdivision Servicing Bylaw No 641 and Part 9 of Subdivision Servicing Bylaw No. 680 require each  lot created by subdivision to be served by an on-site water system. There are currently two wells on the subject property which would be used for Proposed Lots 1 and 2. However, there is no well on proposed Lot 3 and the owners are applying for a variance to waive the requirement for them to install an on-site water system on proposed Lot 3. Due to the date of the application and timing of bylaws staff have prepared variances to Subdivision Servicing Bylaw No. 641 and Subdivision Servicing Bylaw No. 680.

A copy of the proposed permit application and relevant background documents may be inspected at the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD), 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, beginning Thursday, February 2, 2023 and ending Thursday February 16, 2023 (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Statutory holidays); or, contact the staff person listed below. The documents will also be available to view on the Agendas and Minutes page of the CSRD website starting on Friday February 10, 2023.

How do I send a written submission about this permit application?

Written submissions will be accepted at the CSRD until 4:00 PM on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. The Board of the CSRD considers the author's name and residential address relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should be included in your submission. The author's phone number and email address are not relevant to the Board’s consideration of this matter and should not be included in the written submission. Written submissions received by the CSRD are subject to public disclosure and a copy may be provided to the applicant. Where and when will the permit be considered for issuance?

At the CSRD, 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC, during the Regular Board Meeting commencing at 9:30 AM on Thursday, February 16, 2023.  

The Regular Meeting will convene in the CSRD Boardroom with a combination of in-person and virtual attendance. There is no specific opportunity for the public to provide verbal or written submissions about this application at this meeting.
