What are Ranchero/Deep Creek Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 750-04 (BL750-04) and Ranchero/Deep Creek Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 751-03 (BL751-03)?

The subject property is located at 878 Deep Creek Road in the Deep Creek area of Electoral Area D and is more particularly shown on the location map below. The applicant is proposing to redesignate and rezone the property from RH – Rural Holdings to MH – Medium Holdings to allow for subdivision of the 40+ ha parcel into five 8 ha lots.

Anyone who believes that their interest in property is affected by the proposed bylaw amendments, shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard or to present written submissions respecting matters contained in the Bylaws at the Public Hearing. The public may attend the public hearing in person at the place noted above, or virtually in real time. A copy of the proposed bylaws and relevant background documents may be inspected on the Development Notices page of the CSRD website and at the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD), 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, beginning Friday, January 27, 2023 and ending Wednesday, February 8, 2023 (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Statutory holidays); or, contact the staff person listed below. 

How do I send a written submission?

Written submissions will be accepted at the CSRD until 12:00 PM on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, or may be submitted until the close of the Public Hearing. The Board of the CSRD considers the author's name and residential address relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should be included in your Submission. The author's phone number and email address are not relevant to the Board’s consideration of this matter and should not be included in the written submission. Written submissions received by the CSRD are subject to public disclosure and a redacted copy may be provided to the applicant. Please clearly write "Public Hearing Submission – BL750-04/BL751-03" on the top of your submission. The Board of the CSRD will not consider any verbal or written representations or submissions after the public hearing has closed.
