[ARCHIVED] Electoral Area D - Temporary Use Permit No. 2500-05

What is Temporary Use Permit No. 2500-05 (TUP2500-05)?

The subject property is located at 3613 Smith Road in Falkland of Electoral Area D and is more particularly shown on the location map below. The property owner has made a Temporary Use Permit application to allow for up to ten campsites with a  maximum of one recreational vehicle per campsite. These campsites will have no connections to onsite sewer or onsite water and will be for the traveling public only for a maximum three night stay.

How can I find out more about this permit application? 

A copy of the proposed permit application and relevant background documents may be inspected at the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD), 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, beginning Tuesday, January 31, 2023, and ending Thursday, February 16, 2023. (Please note that CSRD office hours open to the public are subject to change depending upon Provincial Health Orders and recommendations). The documents will also be available to view on the Agendas and Minutes page of the CSRD website starting on February 10, 2023.

How do I send a written submission about this permit application? 

Written submissions will be accepted at the CSRD until 4:00 PM on February 14, 2023. The Board of the CSRD considers the author's name and residential address relevant to the Board's consideration of this matter and should be included in your submission. The author's phone number and email address are not relevant to the Board’s consideration of this matter and should not be included in the written submission. Written submissions received by the CSRD are subject to public disclosure and a copy may be provided to the applicant. Please clearly write "TUP Submission – TUP2500-05" on your submission. Where and when will the permit be considered for issuance?

At the CSRD, 555 Harbourfront Drive NE, Salmon Arm, BC, during the Regular Board Meeting commencing at 9:30 AM on Thursday, February 16, 2023. 

The Regular Meeting will convene in the CSRD Boardroom with a combination of in-person and virtual attendance. There is no specific opportunity for the public to provide verbal or written submissions about this application at this meeting. Go to the Public Participation page of the CSRD website to learn about the electronic Board meeting attendance option through Zoom.
