CSRD's Annual Report earns honour

The CSRD Board chair Kevin Flynn presents award to Tracy Hughes and Kari Wilkinson

The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) is the recipient of a Gold Award for its 2021 Annual Report from the MarCom Awards.

Issued by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals, the international design competition recognizes excellence in marketing and communications with an emphasis on creativity and effort.

The CSRD’s 2021 Annual Report was produced by the CSRD’s Communications Coordinator, Tracy Hughes, and Graphic Designer Kari Wilkinson of Toliver Advertising & Design.

“We worked hard on producing a one-stop, easy-to-read document where people could get a feel for what the CSRD had been up to in 2021. In addition to providing information on the CSRD’s regular functions, we addressed the unusual circumstances of the CSRD’S responses to the intense wildfire season and the pandemic,” says Hughes.

“It is a good feeling to know our efforts were recognized by top professionals in the industry.”

The report was a collaborative effort which included gathering information from numerous CSRD staff members, producing content, and working with Wilkinson to create a visually appealing document in both digital and printed formats.

The 2021 Annual Report is available on the CSRD website under the Spotlights section of the homepage.

Each year approximately 6,500 print and digital entries are submitted to the MarCom Awards from dozens of countries. Other BC local government winners included the City of Port Moody and the City of Surrey.
