What is Scotch Creek/Lee Creek Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 825-48 (BL825-48)?
The subject property is located at 4143 Butters Rd in Scotch Creek of Electoral Area F and is more particularly shown on the map below:

The applicant has applied to amend Scotch Creek/Lee Creek Zoning Bylaw No. 825 to change the zoning from MHP (Manufactured Homes Park) to CR (Country Residential) to permit a single family dwelling.
Public Hearing Not Required
This proposed bylaw amendment is consistent with the policies contained in Electoral Area F Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 830. More specifically, the subject property is designated NR (Neighbourhood Residential) which is a residential designation that supports one single family dwelling. Therefore, this proposed bylaw amendment does not require an amendment to the Official Community Plan (OCP).
Section 464(2) of the Local Government Act states that a local government is not required to hold a public hearing on a proposed zoning bylaw if an OCP is in effect for the area that is the subject of the zoning bylaw, and the bylaw is consistent with the OCP. As this bylaw amendment is consistent with the OCP, a public hearing is not required to be held.
