Accidental damage to a water valve is causing water to overflow in the area of Lakeview Drive in Cedar Heights at of approximately  2:45 PM on Monday, November 21, 2022.

The water system in that area is being shut down while emergency repairs can be made. The outage is affecting an estimated 20 residences in the area.

Crews are working to resolve the problem after a private contractor inadvertently damaged the water line. A significant amount of water has leaked in the area and the general public is asked to stay away from Lakeview Drive as much as possible.

At this time, there is no estimate on when the water system will be repaired and water service can be restored. The CSRD will update with more information as it becomes available.
