What is Development Variance Permit Number 701-111 (DVP701-111)?
The subject properties are located at Lots 72-85 2673 Blind Bay Road in Blind Bay of Electoral Area C and are legally described as Strata Lots 72-85 Section 17 Township 22 Range 10 West of the 6th Meridian Kamloops Division Yale District Stata Plan KAS3359 Together with an Interest in the Common Property in Proportion to the Unit Entitlement of the Strata Lot as Shown on Form V. These properties are more particularly shown on the location map below:

The subject properties are located in Blind Bay in Electoral Area C and are subject to Electoral Area C Official Community Plan Bylaw Number 725 and the South Shuswap Zoning Bylaw Number 701. The applicant has applied to recognize the existing floor areas of the seasonal modular buildings on Lots 77,81 and 84 as well as increase the maximum floor area for the seasonal modular homes for the other 10 undeveloped Lots in the resort from 80m2 to 120m2. The applicant had stated that the maximum floor area of 80m2 was determined during the rezoning only for indoor living space of a seasonal modular building and it was not contemplated that all exterior outdoor decks would also need to be part of the calculation of floor area and is therefore proposing to increase the allowable floor area.
The applicant has also proposed to vary the front setback for sheds on Lots 82-85 from 3 m to 0 m and decrease the minimum offstreet parking space length requirement for Lots 83-85. For Lot 81, there are additional variances for the existing seasonal modular dwelling located within the interior side parcel line setback and to recognize the existing storage shed, which is currently oversized.
See the site plans below for the locations of the proposed variances.
