July 31 2021 Fire Station Evening UpdateNote: due to the thick smoke, BC Wildfire Service is currently unable to get accurate perimeters of the fires.

White Rock Lake - this fire is estimated at 24000 ha in size with growth to the east and northeast expected this weekend. There are 117 firefighters, eight helicopters, nine danger tree assessors/fallers, 38 pieces of heavy equipment, 12 support staff, and BC Wildfire Service Incident Management Team dedicated to this fire. Structure protection personnel are also on site. Both the Evacuation Alert and Order remain in effect.

Two Mile - this fire is estimated at 1200 ha in size and is burning in a northeast direction. There are 58 firefighters, three helicopters, and 10 heavy equipment resources in this location. Both the Evacuation Alert and Order remain in effect.

Hunakwa Lake - this fire is estimated at 2700 ha in size. There are 14 firefighters, two helicopters, and five structure protection personnel on scene. Evacuation Alert is in effect for the community of Seymour Arm and an Evacuation Order is in effect for properties nearer to the fire.

Crazy Creek Gorge - this fire is estimated at 1700 ha in size. Communities of Queest Village and Pete Martin Bay are still under an Evacuation Alert. Structure protection assets arrived in the community today to assess the needs.

Three Valley Lake - this fire is estimated at 309 ha in size. The fire is advancing to the northwest into very steep terrain. Both the Evacuation Alert and Order remain in effect.

The next update will be tomorrow unless significant changes happen.
