Report PDF Upload2019 Bastion Mountain Geomorphic Assessment Purpose / DescriptionA geomorphic assessment of the southern slope of Bastion Mountain in the Sunnybrae area of Tappen, BC, between Handy Brook and McIntyre Creek was undertaken in 2018. Kerr Wood Leidal Consulting Engineers and Westrek Geotechnical Services Ltd. were retained by the CSRD to carry out the work associated with this project. Funding for this project was provided by the Province of BC through the Community Emergency Preparedness Fund for Flood Mapping. The Hydrology Overview report provides an high-level hydrological assessment to delineate watershed boundaries and estimate peak flows. The Overview Landslide Assessment report provides a landslide hazard map showing areas affected by observed previous events and provides summary recommendations. The geomorphic assessment will be used by approving authorities to aid in managing land development with regard to landslide hazard and risk in the Bastion Mountain area.
