Special Notice - COVID-19 response

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CSRD’s Finance Department is currently operating and will be doing our best to maintain regular levels of service. Most staff will be working remotely, however, there may be delays or changes to our usual business procedures. We appreciate your patience as we work to protect the health of both our staff and the public during this challenging time.

Residents or commercial clients can continue to make payments while our administration office is closed.

Options include:

  • Using online banking through your financial institution with the CSRD as the payee;
  • Making credit card payments through the PayTM App. Details on how to use PayTM are available on our website here.
  • Mailing payments to our office, with the understanding that postal services may take longer than usual.

In addition, our clients can also contact the CSRD for information on how to pay invoices by direct deposit. Email finance@csrd.bc.ca to request our direct deposit information.

Please be aware that CSRD Utility bills are not due until December 31, 2020, however, to take advantage of the 10 per cent discount, payment still needs to be received by the CSRD by April 30, 2020.

During this time, accounts payable cheque runs will take place on the 15th of each month and the last Friday of each month. As a result of the extenuating circumstances, the CSRD is not able to guarantee that payment will be received within 30 days of receipt. Staff will be doing their best to process all invoices in a timely fashion.

Program Information

The Finance Department is involved in almost every aspect of the Regional District's activities. In addition to sending out invoices and collecting fees for use of CSRD services (such as refuse disposal fees and water utility bills), financial services staff provide financial expertise, information, guidance and advice on day-to-day operational matters.

The Financial Services Department coordinates the preparation of the annual Regional District Five-Year Financial Plans and the audited annual Financial Statements. It also develops and implements financial controls that safeguard Regional District assets and prevent fraud and error.
