Flooding and Sandbag Information

The heavy rain from overnight thunderstorms, combined with snow melt from warmer temperatures yesterday has seen the flow and level of several water courses rise.

Seymour Main Forest Service Road Mudslide

10:00 PM

The Shuswap Emergency Program received reports of two mudslides occuring at 2 km and 3 km on the Seymour Main FSR (northeast of St. Ives in Electoral Area F).

The road is currently closed.  The MInistry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations will be assessing the area on Saturday, May 6 to evaluate the incident and determine a timeline for reopening.

Eagle Bay Road - Now Open

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has advised that the 6000 block of Eagle Bay Road will now be open 24 hours per day, but will continue to be reduced to single lane alternating traffic.  Motorists are advised that minor delays up to 20 minutes should be expected.
