Wildfire Status Update

A new fire in Anglemont/St. Ives was discovered July 20. According to BC Wildfire Service, the suspected cause is lightning and the estimated size is 2ha. BC Wildfire Service is aggressively addressing the fire with water bomber attacks. This fire is moving up hill in a very remote area and is not threatening any communities. It is not anticipated that the fire will change direction.
