Update, November 6, 2019, 11:28 AM
RCMP continue to secure a scene in rural Anglemont B.C., after two individuals were discovered deceased inside a private residence.
On November 5, 2019 at approximately 3:40 p.m., Chase RCMP received a report of two deceased individuals discovered inside a home located along Fraser Road in Anglemont B.C.
The BC RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit (SED MCU) has assumed conduct over the investigation, which remains in its infancy at this time. Early indicators suggest that the incident is isolated in nature. Major crime investigators continue to be supported by the Chase RCMP Detachment, and other specialized units.
"Police are treating both sudden deaths as suspicious in nature at this time," states Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, spokesperson for the BC RCMP Southeast District. "Our investigators' primary goal will be to positively identify each of the deceased. Forensic specialists will be assisting major crimes with the collection of evidence as they conduct a full examination of the scene."
The BC Coroners Service has been contacted and is in the early stages of its fact-finding investigation. The BC Coroners Service investigates all sudden, unexpected and or unnatural deaths in the province to determine who died, how, where, when and by what means.
RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are not offering any further information about this investigation at this time.
