What is Development Variance Permit No. 2000-76 (DVP2000-76)?
The subject property is located at 8882 Swanshore Road in Swansea Point of Electoral Area E and is more particularly shown on the location map below:


This Development Variance Permit is proposing to recognize the location of the reconstructed front deck, the rear patio, and the the eaves of the existing house, which are located within the front and interior side parcel boundary setbacks. The owners are proposing to vary Section 2.12(2)(d) of the Rural Sicamous Land Use Bylaw No. 2000 as follows:

  • Minimum setback from the front parcel boundary from 4.5 m to 1.87 m, only for the deck, and from 4.5 m to 4.09 m, only for the eaves of the house;
  • Minimum setback from the south interior side parcel boundary from 2.0 m to 0.84 m, only for the deck, from 2.0 m to 1.74 m, only for the eaves of the house, and from 2.0 m to 1.87 m, only for the wooden patio.

The Board meeting is open for public attendance, however, there is no specific opportunity for the public to provide verbal or written submissions about this permit application at this meeting.
