A Building Regulation Inspection Service has existed in the communities of Lee Creek, Scotch Creek, Celista, Magna Bay, Anglemont and St. Ives since 2001.
A new service was planned to expand to apply to all of Electoral Area F beginning January 1, 2018, with the number of building inspections increasing from three to six.
In October 2017, the CSRD Board of Directors confirmed that the new service would not expand to apply to all of Electoral Area F, but would continue to apply to the six communities. The Board confirmed that the number of building inspections would increase from three to six.
As it has taken longer than anticipated to prepare and adopt new CSRD Building Regulation Bylaw No. 660, six building inspections will now be required beginning March 5, 2018.
