The BC River Forecast Centre has downgraded the Flood Watch for the Shuswap and South Thompson Rivers to a High Streamflow Advisory.
River conditions throughout southern BC have been improving over the past few days. Snow packs have continued to melt and are contributing less runoff to streams and rivers. River levels have been receding throughout the region. The Shuswap Lake and South Thompson River water levels appear to have reached a peak, with a small decline in levels observed to date. Continued improvement of river and lake levels is expected through this week.
For further information, check the River Forecast Centre's current warnings and advisories webpage. The Centre will continue to monitor conditions and will update the advisory as conditions warrant.
