The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) is pleased to announce that work is now underway on a Diagnostic Governance Study of South Revelstoke within Electoral Area B. This is a jointly supported and funded project of the CSRD, the City of Revelstoke, and the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development.
The purpose of this study is to gain a thorough understanding of the current land use, demographics, infrastructure, governance, and service delivery in the South Revelstoke Area of Electoral Area B. The data collected through this inventory may then serve as an objective baseline to support potential future analysis that considers the benefits and costs/detractions of incorporating some or all of this area into the City from both the City, and Electoral Area B perspectives.
The findings of the study, along with a survey to obtain community feedback, will be presented at an Open House this September in Revelstoke. The date and details of the Open House will be advertised once the date is known.
