Sunnybrae Canoe Point Landslide Update

SUNNYBRAE CANOE POINT ROAD LANDSLIDE

Four homes continue to remain on Evacuation Order in the Sunnybrae area.  Further geotechnical monitoring and assessment of the landslide continues, which occurred on Friday April 7, 2017 in the 4400 block of Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road. 

Due to potential risk and instability of the slide area, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure will continue to keep traffic restrictions in place.  Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road is reduced to single lane alternating traffic and will close nightly from 8 PM to 6 AM.  Motorists are advised to plan accordingly if travelling in the area. 

Members of the public are advised to please remain away from the area.
