Golden & Area A Trails Strategy

Share your thoughts on trails!

The Electoral Area A of the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) is undertaking a regional trail strategy process, investigating community values as they pertain to land and water based trails.  This process started in late June and will run into 2018.  Community feedback and engagement is critical so please take the time to reach out to the consultants, participate in the engagement opportunities, or talk to the CSRD directly during this process.

Engagement opportunities

Let us know about your favourite trails and waterways!

Review and share knowledge on existing trail and waterway information, including interested trail groups, environmental assets, and anything else that exists to shape future development.  Understanding deeply what already exists is critical to assessing our needs as a region.

Tell us what you value in trails and what we need more of

We’ll review our completed resource maps and ask you what is missing, what do we need more of, or what do we have enough of.  These engagement sessions will help shape the future direction of trails.

Stakeholder Engagement and Community Consultation Sessions are taking place at the Golden Civic Centre Conference Room (Downstairs) 806 10th Ave S, Golden

Afternoon Session:  October 4th  12-2pm
Evening Session:     October 4th  7-9pm
Online Survey:         October 5th - 20th

Want to speak to us one on one?  We’ll be having a casual coffee at these times so pop by and chat about what you need us to know.

If you prefer to chat in a less formal setting, come find us for a coffee.  We’ll have these “casual coffee” opportunities for you to share any information that tickles your fancy with us.

We are distilling the information gathered at the first round of engagement and will post a new engagement timeline shortly so please stay engaged.
